NYC Ideathon Call for Proposals
The Global Center for Youth Employment, in partnership with the Ford Foundation and 1776 will host a 2-day Ideathon to source, co-design, and invest in innovative collective impact solutions to youth employment. While breakthrough ideas are expected, we also value the ability to build on existing opportunities and proven strategies. $250,000 in funding and the collective power of the Center’s members is up for grabs. For more information or to submit a proposal, please click “Read More”.
LinkedIn Curriculum
This curriculum presents an approach for introducing young people to LinkedIn and other digital professional networks to help them understand the multiple functions of the sites (e.g. signaling, networking, and labor market information) and develop the habit of using such tools throughout their careers. The curriculum was developed by RTI International and Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, and is calibrated for a short training course, such as Harambee’s 8-week training programs, though it could be easily adapted for short or longer training experiences.

YouthVoices
YouthVoices is a pioneering digital initiative that seeks to tell stories of the global youth unemployment crisis as they are seen, heard and felt by young people around the world. Whether their stories are shared in text, photos, video or audio, The Ground Truth Project, in partnership with RTI International, is putting those who are most affected at the center of the conversation about youth and the economy with an aim to reengineer the international community’s response to the jobs crisis.
